The Marriotts Ridge (Marriottsville, MD) basketball nipped the host River Hill Hawks (Clarksville, MD), 53-52 in Friday's league test.

The (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Reservoir (Fulton, MD). The 'Gators go into the Howard County test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, Reservoir was tipped by Glenelg (Glenelg, MD), 42-39, in a league test.

The Hawks now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Walkersville for a non-league test on Friday, January 20.
