Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the River Hill Hawks (Clarksville, MD) and the host Hammond Golden Bears (Columbia, MD), saw River Hill's basketball squad knock off Hammond by a tally of 61-52.

With the victory, River Hill improves its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Centennial (Ellicott City, MD) to play the Eagles in a Howard County challenge on Friday, January 27. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. Centennial lost 56-50 in their recent league challenge against Long Reach (Columbia, MD)

Next up, the Golden Bears confront the Wilde Lake Wildecats (Columbia, MD) in a Howard County challenge, on Friday, January 27. Hammond will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Wildecats come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 69-45 league win over Howard (Ellicott City, MD).
