In Friday's league challenge, the host Cuthbertson Cavaliers basketball squad scored a nice 43-27 victory over the Weddington Warriors.

With the victory, Cuthbertson improves its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Sun Valley (Monroe, NC) to play the Spartans in a 4A Conference 58 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 9-9. Sun Valley lost 50-38 in their recent league challenge against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC)

Next up, the Warriors play the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a 4A Conference 58 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Weddington will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record.
