The Sun Valley Spartans topped the visiting Weddington Warriors basketball team by a final score of 60-44 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Spartans face the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a 4A Conference 58 game, on Friday, January 6. Sun Valley will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record.

With the defeat, Weddington moves to 3-7 on the year. The Warriors host Cox Mill (Concord, NC) to face the Chargers in a non-league game on Wednesday, January 4.
