The Sun Valley Spartans tipped the host Weddington Warriors basketball team by a final score of 49-44 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Spartans face the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a 4A Conference 58 game, on Friday, January 27. Sun Valley will attempt to move on its 10-10 season record. The Mavericks enter the game with a 16-4 record after their 50-45 league win over Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC).
