In Friday's league outing, the Fort Bend Kempner Cougars (Sugar Land, TX) basketball squad felled the host Lamar Consolidated Mustangs (Rosenberg, TX), by a margin of 46-33.

The Cougars (6-14) will now prepare for their outing against Fort Bend Marshall (Missouri City, TX). The Buffalos go into the 5A Region III District 20 outing with a 0-13 record. In their last outing, Fort Bend Marshall was beaten by Fort Bend Willowridge (Houston, TX), 45-17, in a league outing.
