The Helix Highlanders basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Monte Vista Monarchs to 51 in the Highlanders league triumph on Friday.

The Highlanders now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kearny for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Helix will meet a Komets team coming off a 45-35 league loss to High Tech SD (San Diego, CA). The Komets record now stands at 4-11.

The Monarchs (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Point Loma (San Diego, CA). The Pointers enter the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Point Loma was outscored by Mira Mesa (San Diego, CA), 46-33, in a league contest.
