Colorado High School Basketball - Lamar can't hold off The Vanguard School

The The Vanguard School Coursers basketball team scored 33 points and held the visiting Lamar Thunder to 30 in the Coursers league triumph on Saturday.

The Coursers now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodland Park for a 4A/3A Tri-Peaks contest on Wednesday, January 17. The Vanguard School will battle a Panthers team coming off a 35-27 non-league win over Harrison (Colorado Springs, CO). The Panthers record now stands at 5-4.

The Thunder (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against La Junta (La Junta, CO). The Tigers enter the 4A/3A Tri-Peaks contest with a 1-10 record. In their last contest, La Junta was nudged by Banning Lewis Academy (Colorado Springs, CO), 58-34, in a league contest.
