The The Vanguard School Coursers basketball team scored 40 points and restricted the visiting Salida Spartans to 26 in the Coursers league victory on Tuesday.

The Coursers now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ellicott for a 4A/3A Tri-Peaks contest on Saturday, December 16. The Vanguard School will battle a Thunderhawks team coming off a 89-22 league loss to Colorado Springs Christian (Colorado Springs, CO). The Thunderhawks record now stands at 0-4.

The Spartans (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Pagosa Springs (Pagosa Springs, CO). The Pirates come into the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Pagosa Springs prevailed over Hoehne (Hoehne, CO), 51-36, in a non-league contest.
