St. Mary's Pirates (Colorado Springs, CO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host The Vanguard School Coursers (Colorado Springs, CO), 49-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Mary's upgrades its record to 18-3 on the season. The Pirates travel to Colorado Springs Christian (Colorado Springs, CO) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 24. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 21-0. Colorado Springs Christian won 57-20 in their recent non-league bout against Salida (Salida, CO)

Next up, the Coursers play the Salida Spartans (Salida, CO) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 24. The Vanguard School will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record.
