The Moon Area Tigers (Moon Township, PA) ice hockey trounced the visiting Freeport Yellowjackets (Freeport, PA), 8-1 in Monday's league outing.

The Tigers now own a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Allegheny for a PIHL Class A Blue outing on Monday, January 27.

With the defeat, Freeport moves to 3-14 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Avonworth (Pittsburgh, PA) to encounter the Antelopes in a PIHL Class A Blue outing on Thursday, January 23.
