Pennsylvania High School Ice Hockey - Moon Area knocks off Wheeling Park
February 3, 2025: Moon Township, PA 15108 The Moon Area Tigers (Moon Township, PA) ice hockey the visiting Wheeling Park Patriots (Wheeling, WV), 6-3 in Monday's non-league outing.
The Tigers now sport a 15-3 record. They play next when they travel to North Catholic for a PIHL Class A Blue match on Thursday, February 6. Moon Area will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Indiana (Indiana, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 13-8.
The Patriots (10-6) will now prepare for their match against Mars (Mars, PA). The Fightin' Planets enter the non-league match with a 16-5 record. In their last match, Mars held off North Hills (Pittsburgh, PA), 8-0, in a league match.
