In Monday's league contest, the host Moon Area Tigers ice hockey team scored a close 4-1 victory over the Mars Fightin' Planets.

The Tigers (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Butler (Butler, PA). The Golden Tornado go into the PIHL Class A Blue contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Butler by West Allegheny (Imperial, PA), 4-3, in a league contest.
