In Monday's league test, the Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) ice hockey squad the visiting Butler Golden Tornado (Butler, PA), by a margin of 8-4.

The Fightin' Planets now own a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Catholic for a PIHL Class A Blue bout on Tuesday, January 14. Mars will encounter a Trojans team coming off a 6-2 league win over West Allegheny (Imperial, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 12-6.
