The Pearland Oilers basketball team (Pearland, TX), dropped 48-39 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Alief Taylor Lions (Houston, TX)

The Lions now possess a 13-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shadow Creek for a 6A Region III District 23 battle on Wednesday, January 18. Alief Taylor will battle a Sharks team coming off a 44-36 league loss to Dawson (Pearland, TX). The Sharks record now stands at 16-8.

The Oilers (9-15) will now prepare for their battle against Strake Jesuit (Houston, TX). The Fighting Crusaders come into the 6A Region III District 23 battle with a 17-6 record. In their last battle, Strake Jesuit beat Alief Hastings (Houston, TX), 88-39, in a league battle.
