Alief Taylor Lions (Houston, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Alief Hastings Bears (Houston, TX), 66-48 in a league challenge.

With the victory, Alief Taylor improves its record to 17-11 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Strake Jesuit (Houston, TX) to confront the Fighting Crusaders in a 6A Region III District 23 challenge on Friday, February 3. The Fighting Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 21-7. Strake Jesuit lost 51-47 in their recent league challenge against Dawson (Pearland, TX)

Next up, the Bears confront the Alief Elsik Rams (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 23 challenge, on Friday, February 3. Alief Hastings will attempt to improve on its 3-20 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 10-20 record after their 53-25 league loss to Shadow Creek (Pearland, TX).
