South Carolina High School Basketball - Cross nips St. John's

January 17, 2023: John's Island, SC 29455

Cross Trojans (Cross, SC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host St. John's Islanders (John's Island, SC), 36-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Cross upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Trojans travel to Lowcountry Leadership (Hollywood, SC) to play the NaviGators in a A Region 8 bout on Friday, January 20. The NaviGators go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Lowcountry Leadership lost 38-35 in their recent league bout against Palmetto Scholars Academy (North Charleston, SC)

Next up, the Islanders play the Baptist Hill Bobcats (Hollywood, SC) in a A Region 8 bout, on Friday, January 20. St. John's will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 0-14 record after their 74-7 league loss to Military Magnet Academy (North Charleston, SC).
