Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Military Magnet Academy Eagles (North Charleston, SC) and the host St. John's Islanders (John's Island, SC), saw Military Magnet Academy's basketball squad wallop St. John's by a tally of 87-12.

With the victory, Military Magnet Academy improves its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Porter-Gaud (Charleston, SC) to confront the Cyclones in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Cyclones come into the challenge with a record of 4-8. Porter-Gaud lost 51-29 in their recent league challenge against Northwood Academy (Charleston, SC)

Next up, the Islanders confront the Faith Christian Knights (Summerville, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 9. St. John's will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record.
