New Mexico High School Basketball - Cimarron knocks off Clayton
January 17, 2025: Cimarron, NM 87714 In Friday's non-league contest, the host Cimarron Rams basketball team scored a good 73-65 win over the Clayton Yellowjackets.
The Rams (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Springer (Springer, NM). The Red Devils come into the A District 5 contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Springer defeated Varsity Opponent (, ), 56-38, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Yellowjackets battle the Santa Rosa Lions (Santa Rosa, NM) in a 2A District 6 contest, on Thursday, January 23. Clayton will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Lions come into the contest with a 13-3 record after their 71-67 non-league win over Fort Sumner/House (Fort Sumner, NM).
