Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Fairview bested by Girard
January 17, 2025: Girard, PA 16417 Girard Yellowjackets (Girard, PA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Fairview Tigers (Fairview, PA), 68-50 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Girard advances its record to 9-3 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to General McLane (Edinboro, PA) to face the Lancers in a District 10 Region 6 match on Tuesday, January 21. The Lancers enter the match with a record of 4-10. General McLane lost 63-51 in their recent non-league match against Clarion Area (Clarion, PA)
The Tigers now own a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harbor Creek for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. Fairview will face a Huskies squad coming off a 59-44 non-league loss to North East (North East, PA). The Huskies record now stands at 7-8.
