Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Apollo Hawks (Glendale, AZ) and the host Paradise Valley Trojans (Phoenix, AZ), saw Apollo's basketball squad knock off Paradise Valley by a count of 82-71.

With the victory, Apollo upgrades its record to 11-10 on the campaign. The Hawks host Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ) to play the Mustangs in a 5A Northwest challenge on Monday, January 23. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 11-9. Sunrise Mountain won 68-50 in their recent league challenge against Paradise Valley (Phoenix, AZ)

Next up, the Trojans play the Ironwood Eagles (Glendale, AZ) in a 5A Northwest challenge, on Monday, January 23. Paradise Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 7-16 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 15-5 record after their 64-54 league win over Centennial (Peoria, AZ).
