Virginia High School Basketball - Covenant ripped by Roanoke Catholic

In Thursday's league match, the host Roanoke Catholic Celtics basketball team scored a decisive 84-46 triumph over the Covenant Eagles.

In their next game, the Celtics meet the Life Christian Academy Eagles (Chester, VA) in a VISAA Division III match, on Friday, January 20. Roanoke Catholic will attempt to better on its 13-6 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 9-7 record after their 65-56 league win over Trinity Episcopal (Richmond, VA).

With the defeat, Covenant moves to 1-12 on the year. The Eagles host Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA) to meet the Mavericks in a Virginia Independent match on Tuesday, January 24. The Mavericks enter the match with a record of 9-7.
