The Covenant Eagles basketball team (Charlottesville, VA), dropped 51-35 in Tuesday's league battle with the host New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA)

The Gryphons now possess a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Timberlake Christian for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 12. New Covenant will battle a Tornadoes team coming off a 48-42 non-league win over Christian Heritage Academy (Rocky Mount, VA). The Tornadoes record now stands at 5-7.

The Eagles (1-10) will now prepare for their battle against Eastern Mennonite (Harrisonburg, VA). The Flames come into the VISAA Division III battle with a 7-4 record.
