In Friday's league match, the host Joliet Central Steelmen basketball team scored a tight 55-50 triumph over the Plainfield North Tigers.

In their next game, the Steelmen face the Yorkville Foxes (Yorkville, IL) in a SouthWest Prairie match, on Tuesday, January 23. Joliet Central will attempt to move on its 14-7 season record.
