Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL), 61-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Metea Valley upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL) to clash with the Boilermakers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Boilermakers go into the bout with a record of 10-2. Bradley-Bourbonnais won 65-64 in their recent non-league bout against Rock Island (Rock Island, IL)

Next up, the Steelmen clash with the Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Joliet Central will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Rocks go into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 65-64 non-league loss to Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL).
