Minnesota High School Basketball - Orono overwhelms New Prague
January 19, 2024: Long Lake, MN 55356 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN) and the visiting New Prague Trojans (New Prague, MN), saw Orono's basketball squad wallop New Prague by a count of 67-42.
With the victory, Orono upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to La Crosse Central (La Crosse, WI) to play the Riverhawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Riverhawks come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. La Crosse Central won 82-47 in their recent league challenge against Sparta (Sparta, WI)
Next up, the Trojans play the St. Louis Park Orioles (St. Louis Park, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. New Prague will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Orioles come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 88-66 non-league loss to Benilde-St. Margaret's (St. Louis Park, MN).
