North Carolina High School Basketball - Central Academy ripped by Monroe

The Monroe Redhawks basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Central Academy Cougars to 23 in the Redhawks league triumph on Friday.

The Redhawks now sport a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Forest Hills for a 2A/3A Rocky River contest on Tuesday, January 23. Monroe will meet a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 59-51 league win over Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 6-8.

The Cougars (0-14) will now prepare for their contest against Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack enter the 2A/3A Rocky River contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, Parkwood was routed by Piedmont (Monroe, NC), 66-56, in a league contest.
