The Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL) basketball knocked off the host Thornridge Falcons (Dolton, IL), 59-41 in Friday's league test.

The Thunderbirds (12-10) will now prepare for their test against EPIC Academy (Chicago, IL). The The Legends go into the non-league test with a 6-9 record. In their last test, EPIC Academy went down by Bowen (Chicago, IL), 51-44, in a league test.

The Falcons now own a 6-15 record. They play next when they travel to Francis W. Parker for a non-league test on Saturday, January 21. Thornridge will encounter a Colonels squad coming off a 62-35 league win over Morgan Park Academy (Chicago, IL). The Colonels record now stands at 10-8.
