Michigan High School Basketball - Negaunee tops Westwood
January 20, 2023: Negaunee, MI 49866 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Negaunee Miners (Negaunee, MI) and the visiting Westwood Patriots (Ishpeming, MI), saw Negaunee's basketball squad knock off Westwood by a count of 41-28.
With the victory, Negaunee upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Miners host Manistique (Manistique, MI) to play the Emeralds in a Mid-Peninsula challenge on Monday, January 23. The Emeralds come into the challenge with a record of 3-9. Manistique lost 73-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Ishpeming (Ishpeming, MI)
Next up, the Patriots play the Gwinn Modeltowners (Gwinn, MI) in a Mid-Peninsula challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Westwood will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Modeltowners come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 56-26 league loss to Calumet (Calumet, MI).
