In Monday's league test, the Westminster Owls (Westminster, MD) basketball squad defeated the host Manchester Valley Mavericks (Manchester, MD), by a score of 43-26.

Next up, the Owls face the Liberty Lions (Sykesville, MD) in a Carroll County match, on Tuesday, January 21. Westminster will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 4-7 record after their 61-34 league loss to Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD).
