Maryland High School Basketball - Manchester Valley thwarts Winters Mill
January 21, 2025: Westminster, MD 21157 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Manchester Valley Mavericks (Manchester, MD) and the host Winters Mill Falcons (Westminster, MD), observed Manchester Valley's basketball team knock off Winters Mill by a score of 31-19.
The Mavericks (7-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Liberty (Sykesville, MD). The Lions come into the Carroll County challenge with a 4-8 record. In their last challenge, Liberty was knocked off by Westminster (Westminster, MD), 60-34, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Falcons encounter the North Hagerstown Hubs (Hagerstown, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 23. Winters Mill will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Hubs come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 36-33 non-league win over Clear Spring (Clear Spring, MD).
