In Friday's league contest, the host Manchester Valley Mavericks basketball team scored a close 47-41 win over the Francis Scott Key Eagles.

The Mavericks (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Crofton (Gambrills, MD). The come into the non-league contest with a 6-5 record.
