Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Moon Area victorious over New Castle

In Monday's league contest, the host Moon Area Tigers basketball team scored a good 48-29 triumph over the New Castle Hurricanes.

The Tigers (10-4) will now prepare for their contest against Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA). The Colts go into the WPIAL 5A 3 contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Chartiers Valley topped Montour (McKees Rocks, PA), 59-39, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Hurricanes confront the Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 3 contest, on Wednesday, January 22. New Castle will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Spartans go into the contest with a 7-9 record after their 59-39 league loss to Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA).
