The New Castle Hurricanes basketball squad (New Castle, PA), was crushed 54-24 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Moon Area Tigers (Moon Township, PA)

With the victory, Moon Area advances its record to 3-2 on the year. The Tigers host Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA) to meet the Colts in a non-league battle on Friday, December 20. The Colts enter the battle with a record of 5-2. Chartiers Valley won 40-32 in their recent non-league battle against Montour (McKees Rocks, PA)

The Hurricanes now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bethlehem Center for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 17. New Castle will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 39-19 non-league win over Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-1.
