Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Moon Area bests Mars

January 6, 2025: Moon Township, PA 15108

The Moon Area Tigers basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Mars Fightin' Planets to 43 in the Tigers league triumph on Monday.

The Tigers now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to West Allegheny for a WPIAL 5A 3 game on Thursday, January 9. Moon Area will confront a Indians team coming off a 55-38 league win over Montour (McKees Rocks, PA). The Indians record now stands at 8-3.

With the loss, Mars falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Fightin' planets host New Castle (New Castle, PA) to confront the Hurricanes in a WPIAL 5A 3 game on Thursday, January 9. The Hurricanes go into the game with a record of 2-3.
