Illinois High School Basketball - Metea Valley topped by West Aurora

January 21, 2023: Aurora, IL 60502

The West Aurora Blackhawks basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Metea Valley Mustangs to 41 in the Blackhawks non-league victory on Saturday.

The Blackhawks now sport a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Plainfield Central for a SouthWest Prairie - East contest on Tuesday, January 24. West Aurora will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 80-63 league loss to Plainfield North (Plainfield, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-14.

The Mustangs (5-17) will now prepare for their contest against Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL). The Hilltoppers come into the non-league contest with a 15-9 record. In their last contest, Glenbard West prevailed over Hinsdale Central (Hinsdale, IL), 56-28, in a league contest.
