The Waubonsie Valley Warriors (Aurora, IL) basketball crushed the host Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL), 73-40 in Thursday's league test.

The Warriors (17-5) will now prepare for their test against Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 13-13 record. In their last test, Rockford Auburn was trounced by Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL), 68-36, in a league test.

The Mustangs now own a 5-19 record. They play next when they travel to Bartlett for a non-league test on Saturday, January 28. Metea Valley will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 53-22 league win over Elgin (Elgin, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 6-19.
