Tennessee High School Basketball - Millington Central thwarts Covington

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Millington Central Trojans (Millington, TN) and the host Covington Chargers (Covington, TN), observed Millington Central's basketball team knock off Covington by a score of 54-45.

The Trojans (14-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Raleigh-Egypt (Memphis, TN). The Pharaohs come into the 3A District 15 challenge with a 0-12 record. In their last challenge, Raleigh-Egypt was knocked off by Craigmont (Memphis, TN), 40-26, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Chargers encounter the Brighton Cardinals (Brighton, TN) in a 3A District 15 challenge, on Friday, January 24. Covington will attempt to improve on its 7-13 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 46-11 league loss to Munford (Munford, TN).
