Connecticut High School Basketball - Pomperaug overwhelms Weston
January 22, 2024: Southbury, CT 06488 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) and the visiting Weston Trojans (Weston, CT), saw Pomperaug's basketball squad wallop Weston by a tally of 52-15.
With the victory, Pomperaug improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT) to confront the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 24. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Woodland Regional lost 46-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Waterbury Career Academy (Waterbury, CT)
Next up, the Trojans confront the Bunnell Bulldogs (Stratford, CT) in a Southwest - Patriot challenge, on Friday, January 26. Weston will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-11 record after their 42-0 league loss to Immaculate (Danbury, CT).
