The Clarke Central Gladiators basketball team (Athens, GA), was overwhelmed 71-37 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Eastside Eagles (Covington, GA)

The Eagles now possess a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jefferson for a AAAAA Region 8 battle on Friday, January 27. Eastside will confront a Dragons team coming off a 64-37 league loss to Winder-Barrow (Winder, GA). The Dragons record now stands at 6-14.

The Gladiators (7-14) will now prepare for their battle against Loganville (Loganville, GA). The Red Devils come into the AAAAA Region 8 battle with a 6-15 record. In their last battle, Loganville was overwhelmed by Heritage (Conyers, GA), 84-60, in a league battle.
