Georgia High School Basketball - Flowery Branch tops Clarke Central
January 17, 2023: Athens, GA 30605 Flowery Branch Falcons (Flowery Branch, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Clarke Central Gladiators (Athens, GA), 79-65 in a league bout.
With the victory, Flowery Branch upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Falcons host Jefferson (Jefferson, GA) to play the Dragons in a AAAAA Region 8 bout on Friday, January 20. The Dragons come into the bout with a record of 6-11. Jefferson lost 69-53 in their recent league bout against Clarke Central (Athens, GA)
Next up, the Gladiators play the Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs (Winder, GA) in a AAAAA Region 8 bout, on Friday, January 20. Clarke Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Bulldoggs come into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 58-42 league win over Heritage (Conyers, GA).
