Illinois High School Basketball - Geneva thwarts St. Charles East
January 24, 2023: Geneva, IL 60134 The Geneva Vikings (Geneva, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting St. Charles East Fighting Saints (St. Charles, IL), 59-50 in Tuesday's league test.
The Vikings (19-3) will now prepare for their test against Wheaton-Warrenville South (Wheaton, IL). The Tigers go into the DuKane test with a 20-2 record. In their last test, Wheaton-Warrenville South notched a victory over Larkin (Elgin, IL), 77-43, in a non-league test.
The Fighting Saints now own a 9-12 record. They play next when they travel to Glenbard North for a DuKane test on Friday, January 27. St. Charles East will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 73-62 non-league loss to York (Elmhurst, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 13-10.
