New Jersey High School Basketball - Union Catholic holds off Plainfield
January 24, 2023: Plainfield, NJ 07063 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Union Catholic Vikings (Scotch Plains, NJ) and the host Plainfield Cardinals (Plainfield, NJ), saw Union Catholic's basketball squad hold off Plainfield by a tally of 54-53.
With the victory, Union Catholic improves its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Vikings host Union (Union, NJ) to confront the Farmers in a Mountain Valley - Mountain challenge on Wednesday, February 1. The Farmers come into the challenge with a record of 8-8.
Next up, the Cardinals confront the Westfield Blue Devils (Westfield, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 26. Plainfield will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record.
