New Jersey High School Basketball - Union Catholic fells Union
January 9, 2023: Union, NJ 07083 Union Catholic Vikings (Scotch Plains, NJ) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Union Farmers (Union, NJ), 59-48 in a league bout.
With the win, Union Catholic upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Vikings travel to Morris Knolls (Rockaway, NJ) to play the Golden Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Morris Knolls won 45-39 in their recent non-league bout against Morris Hills (Rockaway, NJ)
Next up, the Farmers play the Westfield Blue Devils (Westfield, NJ) in a Mountain Valley - Mountain bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Union will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 48-45 league win over Scotch Plains-Fanwood (Scotch Plains, NJ).
