New Jersey High School Basketball - Union Catholic can't hold off Elizabeth

The Elizabeth Minutemen basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Union Catholic Vikings to 44 in the Minutemen non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Minutemen now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westfield for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 22. Elizabeth will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 66-61 non-league win over J.P. Stevens (Edison, NJ). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-2.

The Vikings (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Linden (Linden, NJ). The Tigers enter the Union County contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Linden nudged Union (Union, NJ), 63-39, in a league contest.
