Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Elizabeth Minutemen (Elizabeth, NJ) and the visiting Union Farmers (Union, NJ), saw Elizabeth's basketball squad hold off Union by a count of 63-57.

With the victory, Elizabeth upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Minutemen host Union Catholic (Scotch Plains, NJ) to play the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 20. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Union Catholic won 57-54 in their recent non-league challenge against DePaul Catholic (Wayne, NJ)
