New Jersey High School Basketball - Union nudges Plainfield
January 19, 2023: Union, NJ 07083 Union Farmers (Union, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Plainfield Cardinals (Plainfield, NJ), 50-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Union upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Farmers host Lincoln (Jersey City, NJ) to clash with the Lions in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 4-13. Lincoln lost 58-34 in their recent non-league bout against Middletown South (Middletown, NJ)
Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Payne Tech Lions (Newark, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Plainfield will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 69-51 non-league win over Caldwell (West Caldwell, NJ).
