The Tivy Antlers basketball team (Kerrville, TX), was nudged 59-52 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX)

The Matadors now possess a 18-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wagner for a 5A Region IV District 26 battle on Friday, January 27. Seguin will confront a Thunderbirds team coming off a 60-49 league loss to Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 15-11.

The Antlers (14-5) will now prepare for their battle against Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX). The Chargers come into the 5A Region IV District 26 battle with a 24-3 record. In their last battle, Boerne-Champion nudged Canyon (New Braunfels, TX), 55-39, in a league match.
