The Tivy Antlers (Kerrville, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX), 57-53 in Friday's league test.

The Antlers (11-2) will now prepare for their test against Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX). The Chargers go into the 5A Region IV District 26 test with a 19-1 record. In their last test, Boerne-Champion got by Canyon (New Braunfels, TX), 75-54, in a league test.

The Matadors now own a 14-5 record. They play next when they travel to Wagner for a 5A Region IV District 26 test on Tuesday, January 3. Seguin will encounter a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 63-58 non-league loss to Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 9-9.
