Tri-County Trojans (Thornburg, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Belle Plaine Plainsmen (Belle Plaine, IA), 53-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Tri-County upgrades its record to 1-14 on the season. The Trojans travel to Keota (Keota, IA) to clash with the Eagles in a South Iowa Cedar bout on Friday, January 27. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 5-11. Keota lost 51-22 in their recent league bout against Iowa Valley (Marengo, IA)

Next up, the Plainsmen clash with the Sigourney Savages (Sigourney, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar bout, on Friday, January 27. Belle Plaine will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Savages go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 43-37 league win over English Valleys (North English, IA).
